Buttler and Liam Livingstone are the only players left at Lancashire from their T20 Blast title triumph a decade ago.
The Red Rose have been back to Finals Day on three occasions since then, but have won only one game out of four on the biggest domestic stage.
They have avoided a trip to South Group powerhouses Surrey and Somerset by finishing in the top two and can look forward to one more game at Emirates Old Trafford.
“Lancashire has a history of playing well in T20 cricket,” Buttler added. “We’ve had a really good side for a number of years so it’s important we can make the most of that.
“We’ve got a really good team and it’s important we drive that forward, try to get into Finals Day and go all the way.”
