Samay Raina asking a handicap participant about roasting them from Ranveer Allahbadia episode goes viral; contestant says ‘Agar itna hi baat hai toh India’s Got Latent ke badle Talent pe chale jao’ |

In early February 2025, a significant controversy emerged involving comedian Samay Raina and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia during an episode of the YouTube show “India’s Got Latent.” On February 10, 2025, Allahbadia, serving as a guest judge, posed an inappropriate question to a contestant, asking whether they would prefer to watch their parents engage in sexual activity daily or join in once to stop it forever.
Recently a clip from the same episode with Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija, has been going viral where Samay Raina asked a handicapped contestant about whether it is right to roast them or not on the show. Samay asked, ‘When a divyang comes to our show, should we make fun of them or should we not. Because I believe we should treat them equally.’ The contestant who was sitting in the wheelchair replied, ‘Dekho, agar woh aapke show pe aa raha hai, I feel they know what they are coming for. So I don’t think it is wrong of you for making fun of them. Agar itna hi baat hai toh India’s Got Latent ke badle Talent pe chale jao.’
In response to the backlash, Allahbadia issued a public apology, acknowledging that his attempt at humor was inappropriate. Raina removed all episodes of “India’s Got Latent” from his YouTube channel on February 12, 2025, stating his intention to cooperate fully with the authorities.
The controversy also led to broader discussions about regulating digital content in India. A parliamentary committee wrote to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, seeking laws to regulate digital content like podcasts and over-the-top (OTT) platforms in light of this incident.
This incident has heightened concerns among digital creators about potential overreach by the government in regulating online content, reflecting the challenging balance between comedy, freedom of expression, and societal norms in India.
