Leicestershire have signed all-rounder Ben Green from Somerset on a permanent deal following several loan periods at the club.
The 27-year-old rejoins the Foxes on loan for the final three rounds of their County Championship campaign before becoming a permanent member of the squad on 1 November.
Green initially joined Leicestershire on a short-term loan deal in April 2024 and returned for two more temporary spells during last season.
In March, Green re-signed for the first seven County Championship matches of this summer before returning for two more at the end of June.
He then extended that stay for a further two matches in July and has been an ever-present in the red-ball side which has taken Division Two by storm this season, currently sitting 28 points clear of second-placed Glamorgan, and looking destined for promotion.
A right-arm seam bowler, Green has taken 31 wickets in the County Championship so far, making him the joint-third highest wicket taker in the second division.
